A Park City Design Studio
We’re a Park City design studio shaping outdoor spaces across the Wasatch Front. Most landscape firms hand off the property when the install is done. We don’t.
Designed
Landscape architecture shaped around the way the property will be lived in season after season.
Built
Crafted in-house by crews who understand stone, grading, structure, and detail.
Stewarded
The same team returns through every season to maintain, protect, and evolve the property.
Our Process
The Art of Landscape Creation
01 Conversation
Every project starts with a no-commitment conversation. We want to understand your vision for the property, how your family actually uses the space, and what you’re hoping to get out of it. From there, we help guide that vision into a clear direction and schedule a site visit to see the property together.
02 Site Study
Before anything gets designed, we study the land. Sun exposure, slope, drainage, soil, existing plant material. This groundwork shapes every decision that follows and keeps us from designing something the property can’t actually support.
03 Design Studio
Our design team reviews your property with you to talk through style, preferences, and the elements you want in your space. Every plan is built with functionality, longevity, and long-term maintenance in mind, backed by 3D renderings and material selection from trusted local suppliers.
04 Build
Whether it’s a small enhancement or a large installation, the process is the same: do it right the first time. Modern, English garden, xeriscape, whatever your style, the crew builds it to fit your property and your needs. This is turnkey execution with daily updates, so you always know where things stand.
05 Walk-through
We walk the finished property with you and confirm it matches the plan. From here, it’s simply the space your family uses every day.
06 Stewardship
The best maintenance is the kind you never notice, your yard just looks as good as it did on day one. We stay connected after the project wraps and offer ongoing maintenance whenever you need it.

Our Story
Prime Landscaping is a full-service landscape design and build company rooted in Park City, Utah. One designer sees your project from first sketch through final install, so you always have a single point of contact.
Founder Daniel Chavez grew up in a family of landscapers and launched Prime on his own in 2019. Since then we’ve grown across Utah’s major municipalities and added excavation, demolition, trucking, hauling, and our own nursery in 2021. What started as a landscaping company is now a full outdoor partner: design, build, maintenance, and snow removal, all under one roof.
Our team brings 30+ years of combined experience to every job, fully licensed and insured. We’re proud to stay hands-on, family-run, and deeply connected to the community and partners we build alongside every day.
The Spirit of Service
The job isn’t done when the install is finished. The real test is how a property holds up across the seasons that follow.
That’s why the crew that builds your space is the crew that looks after it. A subtle irrigation adjustment in July. A snow truck at three in the morning. We know the land, the drainage, and what your plantings need to thrive.
One team. Every season. For the long run.

Our Happy Clients Say
“one of the best parts of working with this landscaping company was the 3D renders and walkthrough videos they provided before starting the project. It made it so much easier to visualize how everything would come together. We were able to make confident design decisions ahead of time, and the final result matched the renders almost perfectly. Super professional and forward-thinking approach!”

“I have used Prime Landscaping for about 2 1/2 years for both yard care and snow removal. I’ve found them to be very dependable in both categories. Most recently I’ve been working with Diego on some landscaping improvements. He’s been very helpful and responsive in making sure the end result is exactly what I have in mind. I highly recommend Prime and Diego!!”

From the Studio
Every project starts with a conversation about the site, slope, drainage, microclimate, and the architecture around it. Reading the land first is what lets the work belong where it sits.
Architecture, hardscape, and materials live under one roof, so nothing gets lost between design and build. Native plantings and durable materials are chosen for mountain winters and high-altitude sun.
Designed. Built. Stewarded. By the same team, year after year.
Start a Conversation
Every landscape starts with a conversation about how you live outside.
We design, build, and look after the property, architecture, install, maintenance, and snow under one roof. The same team carries your project from the first walk-through to every winter that follows.
Before our site study, take a moment to notice how your property handles water, sun, and the change of seasons. That’s where the design begins.
questions you may have
Frequently asked questions
How does your design and build process work?
Six steps, and one team through all of them. We start with a conversation about how you want to use the property, then study the site before anything gets drawn. Our design studio brings you a plan backed by 3D renderings and material selections, our crews build it with daily updates, and we walk the finished property with you before we hand it over. After that we stay on for stewardship. You work with the same studio from the first sketch to the first snowfall.
Do you provide ongoing stewardship after installation?
Yes. The crew that builds your space is the crew that comes back to look after it, season after season. Ongoing maintenance is available whenever you want it, and the best version of it is the kind you never notice: the property simply looks the way it did the day we finished. Irrigation gets adjusted, beds get tended, and problems get caught before you ever see them.
Are snow removal services included for your properties?
Snow and ice removal is one of our core services, and it is half our name. We handle residential and commercial properties through the winter, and for clients whose landscapes we already maintain it is a natural continuation of the same stewardship. Raise it during your consultation and we will build it into your seasonal plan.
Do you use climate-appropriate plantings for mountain environments?
Always. Planting at altitude is unforgiving: short seasons, hard freezes, heavy snow load, and soil that can change from one side of a property to the other. Our site study reads sun exposure, slope, drainage, and existing plant material before a single species is specified. We have run our own nursery since 2021, so we know the rock, mulch, and plant material we put in the ground and how it holds up through a Wasatch winter.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Park City and design, build, and maintain across Summit, Wasatch, Utah, and Salt Lake counties. If you are not sure whether your property falls inside that range, call us at (435) 659-5739 and we will tell you straight.
How long does a typical landscape construction take?
It depends on scope and season more than anything else. A focused enhancement can move quickly. A full design and build with grading, hardscape, irrigation, and planting runs considerably longer, and the mountain calendar shapes the window: the ground here decides when work can start and when it has to stop. You get a schedule once the design is approved and daily updates once the crew is on site, so you always know where things stand.
